This introductory class will teach found poetry and altered book techniques that will allow you to bring new life to old books, turning cast-off pages into a reliquary of personally meaningful content.

Co-facilitated with wire artist, Debbi Murray, we will use several techniques that help turn trash into treasure. By the end of the workshop, you will understand how to:

• Choose and prep books to alter
• Find poetry from within
• Gain control over your inner critic
• Give yourself permission to play, explore, and discover
• Use collage, paint, wire, and found objects to create art!
